All Eyes

I paint primarily in acrylic, but with other media, and collage incorporated to create different textures and a sense of layers. My hope is to create paintings that have suggestions of a past. So I turn to glimpses of earlier images, lines, colors, and things that I—at some point—decided were mistakes. This often creates a narrative quality, drawing upon what I like to call “ghosts”—things such as memories, dreams, regrets, worries, hopes, etc. that slip in and out of your mind as you move through life. So while I consider my work abstract, it often includes representational or recognizable elements . . . sometimes with a bit of personal neuroses thrown in.
