The AVAST tour is held on a fall weekend each year, and offers participants the extraordinary opportunity to connect with dozens of artists in their studio environments over two days. Printed tour guides are available at art galleries, libraries, and sponsors locations before the tour.

In 2023, 49 artists opened their studios at 25 sites. Our artists include painters, photographers, sculptors, printmakers, ceramists, and more. See examples of their work and learn about them on the Artist Directory.

AVAST partners with local galleries, arts organizations, and businesses to host curated art shows and events that foster dialogue, promote interaction and deepen the role of art throughout Arlington County. The 2023 tour coincides with an exhibit at Gallery 3700 in Arlington Cultural Affairs.
