Mound

acrylic on panel

For the past 18 months while working through the idea of destructive forces vs vital life forces, I‘ve used water, wind, and heat as inspiration for my current work. I drew from memories of growing up in Florida, flying through the chaos of tropical weather; thunderstorms, heat, hurricanes. I work in abstract, primarily in acrylic on canvas and cradled board, along with ink, charcoal, and marker.
