Swallows on the Cape

mixed media

As an artist I do a lot of printmaking, but I also weld metal sculpture and paint. In a sense everything I do is some kind of collage. Whether it be silkscreens printed over mono-prints and embellished with thread; or steel sculptures combined with fabric and paper. I work repeatedly with the same imagery, trying different approaches, versions and layers. Images I use frequently are houses, birds, pears and gloves, examining these feminine domestic symbols in a contemporary way.
