Divine Mother

I look at life and try to capture it.
I am a multi-disciplinary artist, primarily focused on abstract expressionism. I find the form and practice help me share an awareness of life's continuing Balancing Act.
Life brings change that we must define our way through.
Like you, I am an immigrant to this ongoing experience.

Over the past few years I have been holding live painting performances, “Canvas Vibrations” events all around the DMV; in collaboration with musical experiences and other artists.  I work to capture the energy and expressions of these events.

My method and practice are the Art of Letting Go. I start with little or no predetermination. Intent on letting the momentary experience fill my senses. The place, time, people and other energies. There is no set path to truth, just discovery. The path is not mine alone. We will get there together.
What goes down on canvas right now might not exist soon-after. Themes develop, balances are captured, and washed away. Sometimes fully more often partially. Trying to build up a representation of the evening’s collective consciousness.
Be open to Creation but equally to Letting Go. Find the fullest truth you can hold.

I am a mother raising my son, in a multi generational household, with my grandmother. A step in the continuum of life.
