Cyanotype, transfers, gouache and acrylic pen on Fabriano 140 Lb
My pieces are psychological cabinets of curiosity, inspired by all that is Gothic. Flattened architectural elements, drawn in pen and ink, are loosely based on sections and elevations of ancient cathedrals. “Curiosities,” in the form of cyanotypes and transfers, are set within these elements. Similarly, my sculptural assemblages are narrative vignettes using found objects, and examine the psychology of collecting and the idea of memento mori.
