Birch Trees with Stream

Oil on canvas

My inspiration comes from nature itself. From oceans, forests, mountains and meadows, I find compositions with light that enables me to push the color and depth that draws the viewers into the painting. By working in small brush strokes, I slowly watch the painting come to life in my studio from photos that I have taken around the world. I call my work “realistic impressionism”. By playing with color, light and texture, I try to create an original experience. I want to viewer to feel as if they can go there and experience it themselves.
