David shares beauty in our surroundings, experienced locally and from world travel through his paintings. He tries to conjure an objective universal how it feels to be standing before a subject. He calls this “Placism”, as the expression of feelings that flow from places or events.
His compositions and colors first aim for aesthetics, however, beyond the surface, connections and aha moments are derived from reflectionionism, where experiences are simplified and amplified though the filter of time.
