I love working with my hands: the tactile feel of handmade paper, sheering a stack of paper, folding and stitching together a book. I enjoy finding just the right form for each book. In my artist books, I gravitate towards exploring my Jewish identity and the relationship between home and exile.
When I’m not making an artist book, I can be spotted in Arlington and Falls Church, taking photos. I turn these shots into colorful, playful artistic paintings that can be printed on canvas or paper. I am drawn to architecture, landmarks and local mom-and-pop businesses. You can see my images at www.turtlelightpress.com. For me, it’s a great way to be outside for a while and to be connected to the local community.
