Sandi Parker is known for her impressionistic oil landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, garden paintings, frequently-commissioned youth sports portraits and acrylic abstracts. Her 2010 solo show of Arlington HS sports portraits was reviewed twice in local press and shown in 4 different locations in Arlington and Falls Church. Her very popular vibrant, colorful, richly-textured abstracts imitate the patina of urban walls. In 2016 she received a commission for 2 abstracts for a large-scale (10’x10′) permanent public art installation in Crystal City. Her 2016 abstract solo show, “Urban Edge,” at Gallery Underground resulted in sales of almost three quarters of the show. She also has a line of jewelry, “SandiSea Designs,” made from seaglass and pottery shards found on beaches all over the world.
